About Us

Teaching and facilitating intimacy with the Father!

We take honor in the opportunity to lead God's people deeper into His presence through Soaking Prayer.  We believe in resting in the presence of Abba. The more you draw near to Him and remain open and available to Him, the more He’ll reveal to you!

Resting is essential to soaking as it allows you to posture yourself to remain open to hear from Him and builds your relationship with Him!

Rest Engaged Steadily Trusting Father God to hold you in His love.

Our Story

The Father’s Touch Soaking Prayer Network (TFTSPN) was birthed out of Jeremiah 31:3, “The Father loves me with an everlasting love; therefore with my loving kindness I have drawn you to me.” Wow, what an awesome revelation! The Father loves me! Because He loves me so much He continuously draws me into His Presence. He wants to spend time with me, during these intimate and quiet times in His presence, He expresses His love, compassion, forgiveness, and His heart as He speaks to my need, as well as my desire to be with Him.

In 2000, I was introduced to soaking prayer by Pastor Jean Donnell during a Mentoring Retreat. As a result, I was launched into a deeper relationship with the Father. It was there, that I realized in a 30 minute soaking experience that my Father had transformed my life, my ministry, and my congregation forever.

On April 1, 2006, The Father’s Touch Soaking Prayer Center came to life with three (3) team members. It was the beginning of lives being transformed and touched by the Father’s overwhelming love. They attended the “Soaking School” to assist as the doors of The Father’s Touch Soaking Prayer Center, Petersburg, VA were opened. The day of our first designated soaking prayer that we received from Father, God was to commence on Thursday, April 13th, 2006. It marked the beginning of our weekly time of soaking prayer. Saturday, April 29th, 2006, marked the first monthly time of soaking that also included men, women, boys, and girls who came to experience the presence of the Father, and to learn from the Word of God about this thing called “Soaking Prayer.”

Soaking & Resting

What is soaking?

Soaking is not a new concept, but we are rediscovering it after so much of the modern life and contemporary noise has invaded our world, home, church meetings and our church life.

Taking time to simply be quiet for a few minutes in a day could demand planning and discipline. But what if we would simply "show up" and be silent before God, letting Him pour over us His affection, letting Him reveal our own hearts to ourselves, and as we do, finally learn to become familiar with God's language? In turn, we could just respond by whispering, "Father, I am here to be with you, I let go, I will do, work in me, heal, save, restore..." And so we have learned to just stay put, open our hands, close our eyes, and receive prayer, experiencing the most amazing and deepest of changes: forgiveness, healing, renewed strength, visions, commissions, confirmations & affirmations from the Father...

I use the term "soaking" as being that which we do when we lay down before the Lord, soaking in His Spirit and love. Adding candle lights and the fragrance of our praying hearts lifts up before Abba Father like a sweet perfume.

Our main goal is

  • to meet with Him

  • to have people pray over us in a non-interfering way

  • to let ourselves become immersed in the sounds of soothing music pouring over the room as the anointing is being released

  • to experience God; to have an encounter with Him

We are waiting to bless those who seek healing and comfort from the Lord, and hope that through the "...anointed music, lives..." will be impacted in a godly way, and hearts will be revived and kindled with passion to trust and love Him.

Rest

Rest is not only an external state, but it is also an internal experience.

Jesus says,

"I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid." -John 14:27, NLT

The promise of entering God's rest still stands. Let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. There is a special rest still waiting for you. For all who have entered into God's rest have rested from their labors, just as God did, so do your best to enter that rest. -Hebrews 4:9-11

"Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."

-Matthew 11:28, NLT

For we who have believed enter that rest.
